Signing of Memorandum of Understanding with Indonesia's Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (MoTCE)

On October 17, 2023, a working meeting was held in Tashkent with the participation of representatives of the ACDF headed by the Chairperson of the Foundation Gayane Umerova and a delegation from Indonesia headed by Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Martini Mohammad Paham. The working meeting was devoted to discussing the IV World Conference on Creative Economy, which will be held in Uzbekistan on October 2-4, 2024.
As a result of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the two institutions on cooperation in the development of creative economy. In particular, on holding the IV World Conference on Creative Economy.
In 2024, Uzbekistan will be the organizing country of the fourth conference, which will be dedicated to the theme “Inclusively Creative: a Shifted Reality” and will address social and economic issues arising from the rapid development of technology, in particular the emergence of artificial intelligence, intellectual property rights issues and ethical aspects related to creativity.
The conference aims to raise awareness of the importance of the creative sector in the economy, and to facilitate the exchange of ideas and experiences to promote global cooperation in the field of creative economy.
The conference will be organized by the Foundation for the Development of Culture and Arts of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development and the World Intellectual Property Organization.
